An external uterine contraction transducer, such as the Tokodynamometer or toco, is a device used to monitor the progress of labour. The toco measures the duration, frequency, and relative pressure of uterine contractions with a transducer strapped to the maternal abdomen. This information can be used to determine whether labour is progressing normally.
